Charles Knudsen, founder of Kikokushijo Academy (KA), is scheduled to speak at the International Education Expo Fall 2026 in Tokyo on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
At a time when AI can generate written content and answers in seconds, what is the value of children expressing their own ideas in their own words and communicating through meaningful dialogue? Taking admissions essays and interviews as a starting point, the session will explore skills essential to learning today and beyond.
Global KA Holdings Inc., which operates KA, will once again participate in the Expo as a special supporting partner, following its involvement in the spring event. Alongside educational consultation booths representing its group brands, Kokusaba Tutoring, which provides academic support for international school students, will host a hands-on math workshop taught in English.
Talk Session: The Value of Expressing Ideas in Your Own Words and Through Dialogue
Essays give students an opportunity to put their experiences and ideas into words, while face-to-face interviews allow them to convey how they think and who they are.
This session will explore why these forms of personal expression matter more than ever when AI can produce polished writing and responses. It will examine essays and interviews as opportunities to deepen students’ thinking and communicate with others, with value that extends beyond the admissions process.
Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
Time: 4:15–5:00 p.m.
Venue: Tokyo International Forum, Hall B7
Scheduled speaker: Charles Knudsen, President and CEO of Global KA Holdings Inc. and Founder of Kikokushijo Academy
