SOLTILO GSA International School to Open New Campus in Ebina, Kanagawa in April 2027

SOLTILO GSA Co., Ltd. has announced plans to open a new campus of SOLTILO GSA International School (SGIS) in Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture, in April 2027.

The new campus will be located within ViNA GARDENS, a large-scale mixed-use development at the west exit of Ebina Station currently being developed by Odakyu Electric Railway. The school is scheduled to open as part of a new “Family Building” planned for completion in spring 2027.

SGIS is an international school that combines the sports education philosophy of SOLTILO, founded by professional footballer Keisuke Honda, with the English curriculum of Global Step Academy (GSA), a global education brand. In a fully immersive English environment, students will develop not only practical English skills, but also the ability to think independently, take on challenges, persevere, and collaborate with others.

Developing English and Real-World Skills Through Daily Learning

As globalization and advances in AI continue to reshape society, the skills children need for the future are evolving. Beyond language ability and academic knowledge, there is growing emphasis on non-cognitive skills such as critical thinking, resilience, initiative, and collaboration.

At SGIS, English and sports serve as the foundation of the educational approach. Through daily school life conducted in English, students naturally build communication skills while developing the confidence and mindset needed to shape their own future.

Ebina has been gaining attention as a growing residential area, supported by improved transportation access and ongoing urban development. In response to increasing demand from families in the area, SGIS has chosen Ebina as the location for its new campus.

All classes and daily activities are conducted in English. Students develop practical communication skills through natural interaction in an immersive environment. The program is designed to support beginners as well as students with prior English experience.

The SOLTILO program, established by Keisuke Honda, is integrated into the curriculum. Through sports, students develop resilience, teamwork, confidence, and a willingness to take on challenges. The focus extends beyond physical ability to support overall personal growth.

3. Inquiry-Based Learning and Global Perspective

SGIS incorporates inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and take initiative. Exposure to diverse teachers and peers supports cross-cultural understanding and the development of a global mindset.

International Accreditation and Continued Learning Pathways

SGIS is part of the Global KA Group, which became the first Japan-headquartered school group to receive Cognia® Systems Accreditation. This accreditation recognizes institutions that meet international standards in learning environment, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

Students will also have access to continued learning pathways after graduation, including progression to KA International School (KAIS), programs at Kikokushijo Academy (KA), and online learning through Global Step Academy. Additional after-school programs in English are also available within the broader group.

In addition, a next-generation sports education facility, TAIQ (Training Athletic Intelligence Quotient), is scheduled to open on the second floor of the same building. Together, SGIS and TAIQ will provide an integrated environment supporting both academic and athletic development.

Online information sessions for parents are scheduled to begin in June 2026. These sessions will cover the school’s philosophy, curriculum, and admissions process.
