KA International School Announces Global University Acceptances Across 14 Countries and 230 Institutions
Personalized Learning, Global Results
KA International School (KAIS) announces that since its founding in 2006, its 132 graduates have collectively earned offers from more than 230 universities across 14 countries. Located in the heart of Tokyo, KAIS provides a highly personalized learning environment where every student is supported in forging their own academic pathway.
Visible Learning: An Evidence-Based Approach to Student Growth
In 2025, KAIS became the first school in Japan to be recognized as a Visible Learning School—a global certification grounded in one of the world’s largest bodies of educational research. Visible Learning identifies the teaching practices that have the greatest impact on student learning.
At KAIS, this translates into:
continuous visibility into student progress,
a culture of reflection and feedback,
teachers who evaluate and refine their instructional impact.
While the certification itself is recent, the philosophy behind it—understanding each learner and supporting meaningful growth—has been central to KAIS since its founding.

A Decade of Growth: How a Small School Built a Strong Educational Foundation
Over the past ten years, KAIS has strengthened its academic and developmental environment through intentional, learner-centered improvements, culminating in significant achievements. These efforts include earning CIS accreditation, a globally recognized mark of educational quality, and implementing the following key initiatives:
Opening the Early Learning Center for ages 3–5, expanding inquiry‑based early childhood education.
Enhancing continuity across Elementary, Middle, and High School programs.
Embedding data‑informed teaching and a feedback‑rich culture through Visible Learning.
Expanding individualized university counseling to support diverse and ambitious pathways.
These developments form the foundation behind the global university outcomes KAIS celebrates today.
